September has been a crazy month in my personal life so far- and we are only half-way through it!
This past week, I took Friday the 13th off from work because it was moving day-so not so much a vacation day, but... interesting none the less!
The move itself went well, but after fueling ourselves with pizza, and getting back to our place, we soon found out that we couldn't open the door.
With the help of a friendly neighbor, who had tools (not packed away in boxes), we maneuvered through a slightly open window, and managed to break into our apartment. Once inside, we were able to try the door from inside, only to find the door still didn't open. Turns out, after a few hours of taking doorknobs apart, the lock had actually broken inside the doorknob. Needless to say, it was a new experience for me as well as a memorable one (especially with all the jokes that were going around about it being Friday the 13th, and unlucky).
So, due to all of this craziness, I've been a little lax with updates and setting up shoots. Apologies. I hope to get back into the swing of things once I've unpacked everything.
On a fun note, I am very excited to share that I have a shoot set up for the last day of September (technically I can say I'll have actually shot in September in that case!) with 4077 Photography and Anerael.
I would really love to set some stuff up for October though- especially with Autumn and the bewitching season upon us. Great time to do some beautiful location shoots as well as work on some darker ideas I've been playing with!
I wonder if anyone has ever had to break into their own home their first night there...
Leave a comment and let me know if you had a memorable Friday the 13th this year as well!
