One of my favorite parts of Autumn is seeing all the leaves change colors and spotting those bursts of colors. Walking through the woods after the leaves have changed is magical in itself, but watching them fall around you, it's an indescribable sort of beauty. All of the leaves have fallen on my street, and everyone has swept them away from their yards, so there are none to even kick up to watch fall for even the briefest moment while strolling outside. I know that technically winter doesn't start until next month, but with the cold air, and lack of color on the trees now, it feels like winter is already here (minus the beautiful shimmering snow- don't quote me on that come February when we've had multiple snowstorms and I never want to see another snowflake again...again...).
In my attempts to continue enjoying the season while it is still here, I thought I'd do an Autumn Makeup look inspired by all of those beautiful colors that lasted for what seemed like only a moment.
This was also my first attempt at an ombre lip color, the only successful ombre I've done being my hair...which techniclly I didn't even do (thanks Tanya!).
For my eyes, I used yellow eyeshadow on my inner lids, and red on the outer corner, blending it out and up to fade toward the brow bone. I also lined them with a thin black eyeliner and a little mascara.
I'd like to try the ombre lip look again sometime when I have a larger color range to use (I used two colors and tried to blend them as they faded in, but it didn't go quite as planned using eyeshadow for my probably too dry lips-but I still liked how it came out!).
A quick shout out to Sam for suggesting this look, dropping leaves in my hair, and helping primp me for this Autumn set (just be careful holding lights directly above my face-luckily my eyes were closed for the most part)! You somehow made my hair look like flames-Thanks!
Quick update, I had a chance to look at some edits from my shoot with Wicked Mojo Photography- I can't wait to share them! They look amazing, so stay tuned!
