Here we are again with even more ideas for December inspired nails!
When you have so many nails to work with, it's hard deciding on just one look...which is why I'm back for more (and because I couldn't fit all my ideas in the first time).
Christmas Colors: Always a classic this time of year, how about going for a red and green combo? I even tried to create tree outlines using some sparkly nail polish, but you really can't tell that I took a toothpick and tediously created points and angles for a basic Christmas Tree shape. Oh well-still sparkly!
Holiday Fun: (I was at a loss for how to label this one-just go with it) I've seen (and attempted) a few fantastic "Holiday items" on my nails (serious Pinterest fails ensued), such as ornaments, trees, and presents, but the one which came out looking the best (for me at least) was part of a snowflake. I had even bought a nail pen so I could draw it out easily after my last great experience drawing the shapes out. This pen however let me down hardcore when doing my first round of snowflakes. I ended up using a toothpick dipped in nail polish and very patiently dotting/drawing the shape out. But as I said, I was very pleased with how it came out, so totally worth doing again!
Simply and Pretty: A nice subtle, pretty look is using either a nude or pink polish closer to your natural nail color, and adding just a bit of sparkle to one nail. Minimal work, but still a lovely look. The hardest part was realizing I had to paint multiple layers for an opaque finish (otherwise it didn't look I had done anything to my nails) and waiting for layers to dry before painting over them again. But I got over it (obviously) and they matched my Ballerina costume perfectly.
There are so many awesome ideas out there, I'm just happy to have tried a few new looks this year!
If you're celebrating it, I hope you have a peaceful, and fun-filled Christmas Eve (especially those of you who procrastinated and are just now starting your to do list for tomorrow...good luck friends!)!
