It's hard to believe that I'm not only wrapping up another series of blog posts, meaning the month is over, but on top of that, we are already wrapping up another year. So much has happened this year that I never imagined possible.
When 2014 began, I wrote out a list of goals I had for the year, things I wanted to accomplish or strive for. One of the big things I wanted to work for was getting a publication. Not only was I able to get a publication, but I was able to be involved in multiple publications, and a cover! This was beyond my wildest dreams, and it never would have happened without the help of some amazing people.
And a huge thank you to Jimmy Guzman, for submitting (and creating a beautiful headdress) our picture with Ashley Augustus on hair and makeup, taken by Dan Minicucci Photography, and submitted to Ultima Moda Magazine for the cover of their Fall 2014 Edition.
I had the privilege of working with new photographers in 2014 such as Adam Avid Photography, and Wicked Mojo Photography, new stylists and designers like Loredana Sun, Slowdown Clothing, Pinup Desires, Drea Designs Couture, Isabel Original International, and Candice Wu Couture (and some past favorites like AC Moisan), and new hair/makeup artists like Nancy Brown, Joanna Petit Frere, and Jill Dean.
I was able to work with some photographers from the past few years like Bad Wolf Images and 4077 Photography, along with photographers who have become close friends, Little Skull Photography, Dan Minicucci, and S Geer.
This year was my first attempt at consistently posting my ideas, asking for feedback, and forming a creative outlet for my ideas. I was given photoshoot and blog post ideas, had the chance to collaborate with another blogger (Playing Martha), and work with past (Anerael) and new models (Meg Shaw).
To top it off, I just purchased my first camera, and now have the ability to do that much more with my ideas to display my vision.
And I couldn't have done any of this without the people who view my posts, share my ideas, and push me to keep going.
Thank you to not only the people I have worked with, but the people who I haven't even met, who still take the time to share their thoughts with me and encourage me to explore new ideas.
I look forward to what the New Year brings, and continuing to share my journey with you.
Thank you 2014, and Happy New Year!
Bring it on 2015!
