Even though I haven't had any photo shoots so far this month, March has still managed to be incredibly busy for me. Because of this, I decided to use a weekend to get away for a day trip (hence the lack of blog post this past Saturday).
So three of us got into the car and made a mini road trip to Portland Maine to meet up with some folks. It was a great opportunity for me to play around with being behind the camera and taking a step back to enjoy the view, along with spending time with some of my favorite people.
While I wouldn't have minded the weather being at least a little warmer while we were walking around (as a matter of fact, the MOMENT we crossed into Maine, it began to snow GIANT snowflakes for about an hour), I still had a great time and enjoyed taking everything in.
Sometimes I forget how much I enjoy people watching. I'd like to do this sort of thing more often-it gives me the chance of holding on to moments in time, so I can look back later at the people, places, and events that were so dear to me.
A huge thank you to both Sam and Mary for allowing me to annoy you endlessly this weekend with questions about your cameras, as well as taking endless pictures and letting me hold on to these visual moments with you guys.
So readers, where is your favorite place to get away and take a mini vacation? Somewhere familiar, or somewhere new each time? After my trip to Maine, I think I'd like to start discovering the places I've never been and start seeing what the world has to offer.
If you want to hear and see more from my short get away, leave a comment or message and I'll post more images from the places we visited!
