I finally had my first beach shoot this week! This was perfect timing since I haven't had a photo shoot in about two months, and it gave me not only a chance to model with one of my favorite photographers, but a chance to enjoy the sun and sand...(and heat, though I didn't enjoy that part quite as much...).
Luckily there was a breeze that kicked in shortly after our arrival. It really helped cool things down in the 90+ degree weather (and humidity added). Speaking of humidity, I know it does fun things to people's hair, and by fun I mean, most people end up with curled or frizzy hair- but me? I start out with waves, spend two seconds outside, and end up with limp strands...pretty sure it's the polar opposite of everyone else I know. Looks like I will always have the straightest of hair no matter what...I should probably stop trying to add anything curl or wave to it in the summer...
There were quite a few "firsts" during this shoot that made it even more special, aside from being my first location shoot in two months. It was my first beach shoot, the first time we went through every single memory card on hand (we took A LOT of pictures...), and the first time doing makeup in a car. Jill Dean was my fantastic makeup artist for this shoot, and did an amazing job during a limited amount of time while siting in her car. Kudos for agility and managing to maneuver around in a car with limited space and lighting Jill!
We shot so many outfits- I can't wait to share all of these looks with everyone! In the meantime, enjoy the warm weather, and this teaser from our shoot!
Stay tuned for more images soon!
