For a few months now I've had this idea for a conceptual shoot with a Film Noir theme. I imagined it set in a dark room, with multiple other models involved, the focus really being on a figure wearing a black fedora and men's suit or vest, but with feminine features/accents. So I tested the idea out with myself as the model (and photographer), and was so pleased with the results, I wanted to share them with everyone.
While it's not quite laid out how my original idea was (for example, I am not multiple models in one frame), the silhouetting created during this experiment was something I never thought of trying for the shoot. I think it brought something interesting to the images, a sort of dynamic element that might not have given it such a strong look otherwise.
I would still like to try my original idea with more people involved, but doing a test run like this gave me more ideas to play with later.
What do you think? Would you like to see this idea expanded upon? What elements from this test run could you see working well in a more elaborate shoot?
Don't forget to submit a blog post idea/photo shoot concept via email if you'd like to be entered into the contest! No matter what your idea is, big or small, I'd love hear from you.
I'll give you a hint about the prize...it involves collaborations between myself and a specific photographer...and is a great way to enjoy multiple images at once...(confusing enough?)
Make sure to send your ideas to email@example.com to be entered!
