It's hard to believe that Summer is just around the corner! While I was writing my last post about the Spring Edition of my Project 333, I decided to take some pictures of my favorite Spring outfit.
While I've never been one for florals, or even bold prints, I really love this new skirt, which I was actually given by a friend.
Not only does it have comfortable, flowing material, and a high waist, it has pockets too!
Because most of my wardrobe the past few years has been form fitting (and for some reason I didn't own a belt), I wasn't fond of tucking my shirts into my pants. However, I've found that blouses and loose fitting sweaters tucked into this skirt look both elegant and casual (Sweaters especially give it an almost retro look when paired with heels). I like this look so much in fact, I've started tucking my shirts in when I first put them on in the morning, just to see how they look.
Not only is this a great a skirt for Spring (especially with the obvious floral print), but the light material will make it nice to wear this Summer too. (I see another repeat item in project!)
I know that if I were in a store, I wouldn't have picked it off a shelf, so I'm glad my friend gave it to me to try - one of those little reminders that you never really know if you'll like something until you try it (I'm sure all you picky eaters out there have heard that a million times)!
On that note, I hope everyone enjoys their last few days of Spring 2015!
See you in the summer!
