Location: The SOPHA
I try to stay as best organized as I can during a shoot-especially if I have the opportunity to do multiple looks. This time, I thought I was on top of my game-I picked out the different looks the night before, down to the accessories and shoes, and separated them into different bags before putting them in my backpack for the shoot.
Even with all that, as we started wrapping up the shoot, I realized that the one item-the one that started it all, my hooded vest, was the only thing I hadn’t shot in-meanwhile, I had matched that item with 2 out of 3 outfits put together originally...and yet I somehow almost forgot it!
Luckily we both laughed about it and threw in one last quick look, which turned out perfectly.
It’s just another reminder that as much as I’d love to be in control of everything and feel 100% prepared, chances are, things will change or plans won’t go exactly as...well...planned. But as I saw with this shoot, sometimes, they turn out even better.
This shoot also gave me another chance to use my contacts (Yay contacts)! I’ve had these ones for a while, and they are on their way out shortly...not to mention, for some reason it takes me ten minutes to get the left contact in and about 5 seconds for the right, so needless to say, my eyes were a bit bloodshot after the process (at least it kind of went with the look though) of attempting to get them in at the start…
I love how these came out- every single one from this “Apocalypse” themed wardrobe looks fantastic (Who knew I had all of these outfits hidden in my closet?).
Next step - take these looks out of the studio and to a creepy location on a foggy, zombie-weather day...
