Designer: Isabel Original International
This white dress that I had the privilege of wearing by Isabel Original International is absolutely beautiful- so beautiful we shot it twice during the day. Partly because of it’s beauty and flow in differing backgrounds… and partly because I realized I may have put it on backwards the first round. It looked so good either way though, I wanted to show how diverse it is. Especially if you’re small busted like I am, the way the straps should lay on the back actually fit perfectly across your front and create a unique neckline. I felt like a greek goddess wearing this (both ways that I wore it). Aside from being such a soft material, it was light and airy as well-perfect for such a hot day. I may be inspired to add some ventilation in the sides of all my dresses if they would look as good as this white dress does.
I also had a bit of a revelation after this shoot. I think I am drawn to red dresses…I find that every time we shoot together, I manage to convince Dan to use a red dress. They always look so dynamic in every setting, whether its against a carousel, in the snow, on a sand dune, or against the trees, I can’t help but want to wear one each time!
A little side note-during the entirety of shooting this day, we went through all of the memory cards brought along…but sadly one of them didn’t make it to the editing process. We went through about ten outfits total. Not all of them made it (RIP memory card) into the gallery, but that just means we'll have some looks to try again next time…
And lastly, as a warning to anyone going out during summer/fall…even if you are going to the beach…if you walk through ANY grass…check yourself for ticks. I managed to find 3 when I got home that night (two stow aways in my backpack, and one on my leg…which I pried off, analyzed briefly, and killed with the anger of a woman scorned…or you know…bitten). But it was all worth when looking at how many beautiful shots and diverse looks we created.
