Not only was this my first beach shoot, but I had the chance to work on it with Dan- who I’ve already shot every other season with at least once so far at this point. This was the very last part of our shoot- on the water...and in the water...and sand, because you know...that's what you have on the beach.
The day had been so hot that I was ecstatic to stick my feet in the water as the sun was going down. I will say that I'm glad we did this look last- it allowed me to get my hair (and outfit) wet without worrying about needing to do any touch ups for a different look, and cool down on my ride home after a long day of shooting.
The swim suit (which I LOVE) is actually borrowed from a friend, who bought it while she was visiting Mexico. It fit so nicely and had such a unique look, I immediately asked to use it for a photoshoot when I saw it...it may have taken a while to give back once I started wearing it...
These images may be some of my favorite summer looks out of anything we have done to date. I now have a challenge to do even better next time I go on a beach location shoot.
I'd like to thank Jill Dean for doing a beautiful job on my makeup (especially in your air conditioned car- I may have melted otherwise). I'd also like to thank Isabel Original International for allowing me to show off some of your wonderful clothing while frolicking through the sand. And of course, my friend and photographer Dan Minicucci for once more, making the most out of a single day and getting more images and looks than we have ever shot in a single afternoon/evening before!
