This past week I’ve finally started to see some of the more predictable Summer weather I’d expect to have by mid-July.
Granted, going from 65 degree days to 90 degree days was a quick jump, but welcome for those who adore the Summer heat none-the-less.
While I do enjoy Summer, some of the hotter days were more brutal than balmy. Especially the night I had two fans on but couldn’t get the temperature in the room below 87 degrees.

Being the innovator that I am, I decided to remedy my “too hot to move” issues by seeing what I could find for cooling techniques.
And thus I found… a not so kiddie, kiddie pool! It’s actually a pretty decent size for relaxing in, hence the “not so kiddie” part.
The only problem was that it took a bit longer to fill than planned. I had hoped to do a photo shoot using my new toy, but 4 hours in, and the pool was only half full. Or empty, depending on your perspective.
I decided to shoot anyway because it was still 93 degrees. And any excuse to sit in the pool worked for me, even if it was still filling!
I did get a few cute, “sort of pinup” shots! Not bad for only a foot of water and 10% battery left on my wireless remote.
How many of you “adults” opted for getting yourself a kiddie pool during the summer? If you haven’t, how many are thinking about it now?!
