Boho chic is one of those looks that never quite goes out of style. Personally, I love the simplified, neutral toned makeup and relaxed hairstyles associated with a boho look. I was excited to try my hand at the look and collaborate with Little Skull Photography.
Lessons learned
I learned quite a few things during this shoot…
Multi-functional
For example, the dress Joslyn provided for one shot, I originally put on backward. I learned to just call it a multi-function item – two dresses for the price of one! The correct way, it has a bohemian vibe and worn backward, can be a simplified wedding dress.
Laugh it off
A good sense of humor will benefit you greatly when wearing multi-functional items!
Reeds
The pretty, tall grass on the side of the road – also known as reeds – tend to grow in nice moist areas. Also known as swamps. I now know not to go running into the reeds like a crazy person. At least if I don’t want to get squishy mud all over my outfit.
Magic hour
That ideal moment when the sun is setting that photographers try to shoot at. Lucky for us, we managed to find an app that told us exactly what time we would want to start shooting. We were able to leave and come back when we were ready to shoot. Which was kind of magical in and of itself.
Conclusion
All in all, I think a very successful and fun day was had by everyone in involved. Thanks again to Little Skull – I always have a blast with them!
