This shoot was a collaboration put together by Dan Minicucci Photography and Dawn, the owner of NDC Fashion. It was truly an honor to be chosen as the bride for their shoot.
Don’t panic
However, the morning was a bit chaotic when our groom backed out an hour beforehand. Not only that, but we had lost our first model the week prior. I was already mid-makeup when our groom called to cancel.
Even though there was a bit of panic, quick thinking and social media saved the day. Lucky for us, Dan posted on Facebook about our dilemma and the need for a male model. To our relief, the life-saving Jim responded that he was only 30 minutes away from our location. Even more ironic, the tux we had was for a 6’4 male model, which is Jim’s exact height.
Perfect Weather
The flower blossoms in Boston had bloomed only the day before, making for some incredible backdrops. The entire city felt magical. I was especially grateful to work with Jim, who was such pleasant company and made a wonderful groom. It was especially fun walking around town in wedding attire, and his constant response of “Isn’t she gorgeous!” when random strangers would come up to congratulate us.
Thank you to the entire team, and especially Jim, for creating such a great shoot!
