The long-awaited moment has arrived! The private screening of Brian Hanke’s film, Perceptarium!
To think, what all started with an email and a few general ideas turned into a feature-length film. All with the help of a handful of very talented individuals, and our very ambitious creator/director/producer, editor, etc… of course!
Seeing everyone’s hard work come together on a theater screen was an entirely new experience for me. Most of my work comes to finalization in a still photo. And typically, that still is on a phone or computer screen. This time, I was looking at myself on a theater screen. It was almost as surreal as the film itself (no spoilers, I promise)!
I think my favorite reaction someone had to my character was, “Wow, I’m glad I had a chance to talk to you before I saw the film! Otherwise, I wouldn’t have had the courage to talk to you now. You were terrifying!” Just what every well-played villainess wants to hear!
If you want to hear more about my experience working on the film, check out my blog post, “BTS: Perceptarium“. The next step is submissions to film festivals! Keep an eye out for more updates over the next few months! In the meantime, make sure to check out the 2019 trailer!
