After my first fantastic shoot with Zachary Stone Photography, I couldn’t wait to work together again.
Zack wanted to do a sunrise shoot at a nearby location. I was excited to try something I had never tried before – getting up before the sun to do a photo shoot. He told me where he wanted to shoot, and I decided to do some scouting beforehand so I’d have a better idea of where we would be.
The importance of communication
I spent an hour or more walking along the trails and taking pictures of what I saw for reference later. It was only on the day of the shoot that I realized I had gone to a different location. This is why communication is important when it comes to locations and traveling!
In the end, it all worked out fine, and the location we went to was even more beautiful than the one I visited during my scouting. Luckily, it wasn’t too cold of a morning the day of our shoot. Especially since I was wading into the water for the earliest part of our work. Any later in the season and our pictures may have turned out differently!
After the pond, we moved to our second location, which had an amazing garden. The sunlight streaming through the bushes was the perfect touch to our morning.
We finished our shoot around 9, just in time for everyone’s stomachs to start growling. Our wonderful day ended with breakfast and coffee at “Hollis Country Kitchen”, where we sat outside and enjoyed the warm weather. If you’ve never been, I highly suggest sitting outside to enjoy your coffee in their garden!
