The lady is a vamp
This was one of my favorite projects to date. I have dreamed about dressing up as a vampire for years now, so Halloween was the perfect excuse. And why not make it even more special by creating a photo shoot from the idea!
We had been planning an outdoor shoot and wanted to use the Autumn leaves and their vibrant colors as a backdrop while they were still on the trees. We ended up moving inside due to elements out of our control (but I did grab a behind the scenes shot!). Of course, there were a few more hiccups, such as camera issues and some mildly amusing moments concerning the fog machine and smoke alarms. But it was still a blast to work on this idea with Little Skull Photography. They were kind enough to let us shoot in their dining room since the weather was getting brisk quickly. It worked out really well since their passion for antique finds added a beautiful backdrop to our idea.
I loved the purple contacts I wore for this shoot, adding a sort of surreal quality to the look. It’s not too noticeable, but I think they add a little something to the look.
While you can’t actually see the fangs I wore, I realized some things are better left unseen. Especially when you have to smile ridiculously to show them off and break the mood!
Happy Almost Halloween!
